World Physiotherapy Africa Region Biennial Conferences

Every two years, World Physiotherapy Africa Region hosts a scientific Congress showcasing regional advancement in physiotherapy research, practice and education. This spectacular event which brings together physiotherapists from all over Africa and the rest of the world takes place after the biennial regional meeting.

The congress runs for 3 wonderful days of stimulating programming, networking opportunities, and an exhibit hall filled with products and services to entice delegates. Usually, pre and post congress workshops are arranged.

  • 11th World Physiotherapy Africa Region Congress

    October 27, 2022 – October 29, 2022

    The Beninese Association of Physiotherapists (Association Beninoise des Kinesitherapeutes) will be hosting the 11th World Physiotherapy Africa Region congress and meeting in Cotonou, Benin from the 27th to 29th October, 2022.

    The theme of the congress is: "Enhancing Quality Physiotherapy Services for Sustainable Development in Africa: The Role of Training, Practice, Research and Governance".

  • 10th WCPT Africa Region Congress

    May 19, 2014 – May 25, 2014

    The Zambia Society of Physiotherapy will be hosting the 10th WCPT Africa regional congress and meeting in Lusaka, Zambia from the 19th to 25th May 2014.

    The theme of the congress is: ‘From advocacy to action against Non Communicable Diseases'.

  • 9th WCPT Africa Region Congress

    June 6, 2012 – June 9, 2012

    The Kenya Society of Physiotherapists will be hosting the 9th WCPT Africa regional congress and meeting in Nairobi, kenya from the 6th to 9th June 2012.

    The theme of the congress is: ‘Moving Physiotherapy forward in Africa', with a subtheme – ‘The Burden of Chronic Modern Non-Communicable diseases’.
