MESSAGE FROM THE REGIONAL CHAIRPERSON
Welcome to he WCPT Africa website. Physiotherapy is moving forward in Africa; From Nairobi, Kenya 2012 to Lusaka, Zambia in 2014. In less than a year, all African physiotherapy roads will lead to Zambia for WCPT A 2014!! The Zambia Society of Physiotherapy (ZSP) will be hosting the 10th Biennial congress and meeting of the Africa region OF THE World Confederation for Physical Therapy (WCPT-Africa) from 19 - 25 May 2014 in Lusaka, Zambia. The conference will be held over four days, and is expected to be graced by over 400 delegates from African countries and the rest of the world.
The theme of the congress is “From advocacy to action against Non Communicable Diseases’. The congress is a crucial forum for physiotherapists from the Africa continent and the rest of the world to share current scientific research findings and new intervention measures applicable to physiotherapy. The congress will additionally enable participants to form strong collaborative networks and partnerships, which will assist in moving physiotherapy forward on the African continent in the 21st century. WCPT Africa and the ZSP looks forward to welcoming you all to Zambia in 2014!!
