Purpose: To identify risk factors for MSDs in physiotherapists.

Methodology: This was a transversal conducted from May 10 to June 15, 2015 in four physiotherapy centers in Togo. The information gathering instrument was a survey sheet with two parts. The statistical analysis was performed using Excel 2007 software.

Result: A total of 47 Physiotherapists dot 42 men and 5 women were the subject of our investigation. The average age is 35.1 years with extremes of 22 and 52 years. The average body mass index was 23.8. The high frequency of spinal TMS (85.1%) in physiotherapists, multifactorial origins. Handling of patients and heavy loads (63.8%); prolonged standing (17%) prolonged sitting (12.8%); working hours more than 40 hours per week with extremes of 30 and 50 hours. The average patient treated per day is 8.1 with extreme 6 to 15. Seniority in the department (P = 0.004) was also a factor in the origin of spinal TMS in physiotherapists. 7.5% of Physiotherapists changed jobs, 15% had work stoppages and 52.5% worked despite MSDs

Conclusion: To reduce the risk factors of MSDs, improved working conditions will be needed as well as the application in the PEC of bedridden patients handling techniques.
