Abstract


Introduction: Low back pain is a real public health problem. It can break the life project of patients and their families. Balneotherapy is one of the most important treatments in the care of these patients, and can improve the quality of life of their lives.

Objective: To evaluate the impact of physiotherapy associated with balneotherapy on quality of life in patients with lobalgia

Method: This was a prospective cross-sectional study conducted from 7 May to 29 July 2018 at the National Center for Orthopedic Equipment and Functional Rehabilitation (CNAO / RF) in Lomé. Data was collected from a survey form and analyzed using Excel 2013 software

Results: In total, 12 patients, 8 married, and with a sex ratio of 1.4 women for a man. After an average of 20 sessions per patient, 66, 67% had a decrease in mechanical pain7 / 10 to 4/10, (EVA), with a physical ability to perform acceptable daily activities. , 58, 33% had an improvement and an efficiency in the exercise of professional activities and 66.67% had an improvement in the domestic activities. At the beginning of our study 33.33% who had a bad relationship had a bad relationship at the end. 66, 67% having a bad sexual relationship reported having a satisfactory sexual relationship.

Conclusion: Low back pain changes the quality of life of patients and affects the couple's life and sexual activity. Emphasis should be on early diagnosis and early management. Physiotherapy, combined with Balneotherapy, gives a therapeutic advantage in improving the quality of life and the life of the couple
